"SJ is a nine-year-old boy, who has never been to school. Because SJ’s parents were poor, they had no resources in getting SJ the help he needed. When he started at school in January of 2023, SJ was non-verbal and on the autism spectrum. By July of 2023, SJ was speaking full sentences, writing his own name and could count, write, and identify numbers from one to twenty. And Kids 4 Change have arranged an assessment for SJ, and a commitment for the right school after diagnosis. This was in six months! Imagine the impact we would make in six years!"
Our First Daycare was located at Trichardtsfontein Dam in Trichardt, Mpumalanga.
The owner of this establishment has committed to giving Kids 4 Change our own space. This will enable us to make the daycare ours and ensure that we can really operate independent.
Giggel Goggas Daycare was the first educational project launched by Kids 4 Change. Established in January 2023, this nurturing and vibrant school provides accessible, quality education to children in the local community. Located at Trichardtsfontein Dam in Trichardt, Mpumalanga, Giggel Goggas began with a small group of children, offering them a safe space to learn, grow, and thrive. With a curriculum that balances academics, creative play, and life skills, the school aims to lay a solid foundation for each child’s future.
The success of Giggel Goggas has inspired Kids 4 Change to expand and continue opening new daycares in under-resourced communities, bringing educational opportunities to more children and fostering brighter futures.
Expected Start Date: January 2025
Opening for the first time in January, we will celebrate our second daycare!
We are super excited. We aim to open Gogga Land, (Bug Country) at 3 Eland Street in Secunda. Gogga Land will be much bigger and accommodate much more students.
Our aim is to open a nursery school in a poor community every January for the next five years.
We are focused on opening our first recreational center within the next five years.
Our team at Kids 4 Change is fully committed to making a change in the lives of disadvantaged children by unlocking potential, one child at a time.
The plan is to involve the community in starting small projects such as vegetable gardens and offering services like cleaning, laundry, and car washing. Our team aims to foster a sense of unity, creating a community that sets a strong example for future generations.
Our first recreational centre is expected to open in 2025. These centres will provide resources for studies, technology for research and schoolwork, a well-stocked library, and a cafeteria where children can shop with points earned through chores, instilling the value of hard work. We also plan to offer life coaching, counselling, and extracurricular activities to ensure every child has the opportunity to unlock their potential.
Your donations help us provide essential resources, expand our programs, and reach more children in need. Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to building a brighter future.
